The Real Question Is…
How can I out crazy last night?

“Antidote for Irony” by So They Say
The antidote for irony
Set safe, far away from you
I heard you say just this one time
So I guess I’ll, just sit down and see for myself
I’ll go where you take me
And go feel the lies go burn your eyes
And I’ll wait ‘til you say please
You said this counts for so much more
Wait ‘til tonight
You’ll see exactly what I’ve seen and can’t believe
I’ll lie at birth, what it was
To find a way to kill the pain
Put down, put down the loaded gun
Or point it straight between my eyes
‘Cause you can’t fight fair tonight
With words that cut like knives
(And I want) To see you do the things you never do
(And I want) To feel your skin but now the ceiling spins in the room get cold
I’ll go where you take me
You feel the lies cover their eyes
And I’ll wait ‘til you say please
You said this counts for so much more
Wait ‘til tonight
You’ll see exactly what I’ve seen and can’t believe
I’ll lie at birth, what it was
To find a way to kill the pain
Put down, put down the loaded gun
Or point it straight between my eyes
‘Cause you can’t fight fair tonight
With words that cut like knives
Put down, put down the loaded gun
Or point it straight between my eyes
‘Cause you can’t fight fair tonight
With words that cut like knives
The day will come and it kills me
That the thing that I gave you
Will take you away from here
I need a chance to catch my breath
I know the only thing that can take away our fear
Put down, put down the loaded gun
Or point it straight between my eyes
Put down, put down the loaded gun
Or point it straight between my eyes
‘Cause you can’t fight fair tonight
With words that cut like knives
Put down, put down the loaded gun
Or point it straight between my eyes
‘Cause you can’t fight fair tonight
With words that cut like knives

Halloween*

* My biased opinion allows me to decide this as the best past of the fall.
These photographs of albatross chicks were made just a few weeks ago on Midway Atoll, a tiny stretch of sand and coral near the middle of the North Pacific. The nesting babies are fed bellies-full of plastic by their parents, who soar out over the vast polluted ocean collecting what looks to them like food to bring back to their young. On this diet of human trash, every year tens of thousands of albatross chicks die on Midway from starvation, toxicity, and choking.

Hug a tree and recycle.
Pumpkin spread.
Two Buck Chuck (now three dollars)
The frozen food section blows my vegetarian mind.
Hummus and artichoke spreads for cheap.
$6 Rose champagne (that’s actually delicious).
The cashier thought I was 17, and insisted on seeing my driver’s license.
If you’ve never been, I suggest you go soon. Actually, go now, it’s raining. What else do you have to do?
Give It Up by Midtown
The silence kills the calm of the night
I force an anxious patience
Counting every beat and waiting for my turn to die
Give it up, give it up
Don’t fall for the same things
Give it up, give it up
Don’t fall for mistakes that I’ve made
Don’t turn away
I understand your ways
Won’t give it up
It’s not me you’re waiting for
Alright, stop waiting
It’s not me you’re waiting for
It’s time to let go, time to let it go
And when you’ve become
All you’ve lost
Wandering the streets and searching for a place to die
Give it up, give it up
Don’t fall for the same things
Give it up, give it up
Don’t fall for mistakes that I’ve made
Don’t turn away
I understand your ways
Won’t give it up
It’s not me you’re waiting for
Alright
Stop waiting
It’s not me you’re waiting for
This is where it ends
It’s not me you’re waiting for
It’s time to let go, time to let it go
This where it ends
And if you promise to forget
I’ll try to find a way to make mistakes
Make mistakes
Alright, stop waiting
It’s not me you’re waiting for
Alright, stop waiting
It’s not me you’re waiting for
Give it up, give it up
Don’t fall for the same things
Alright, stop waiting
Give it up, give it up
Don’t fall for mistakes that I’ve made
(Alright, don’t turn away)
Give it up, give it up
Don’t fall for the same things
(Don’t turn away)
Give it up, give it up
Don’t fall for mistakes that I’ve made
Don’t turn away
